[3.14] Gannicus, God of the Arena – Deathless Uber Elder for Everyone

You can't do them as well as a VD spellslinger but you can do them if you play it smart. The bosses and item boxes are at the outside of the pack. Focus on those and ignore the plain mobs. It's not perfect but it's the best you can get from a melee build with limited AoE.

Two question about starting this build.

Would you suggest going impale in the beginning? Because it is quite hard to get close to 100% impale chance without alternate quality impale / dread banner or +% impale chance craft somewhere. And these are usually things you do not have within the first days.

Or is impale still worth it, even if I only got about ~70-80% chance to impale?

Isn't Ichimonji as starter weapon beside Scaeva the best budget choice?

Scaeva's unique point is +8% block attack damage.
If you don't need a block you can use any sword you want

Yeah I know, that is why I would go for Scaeva + Ichimonji.

You can start without Impale but definitely level the gems in your alt setup so you can switch. If you plan to league start with this I'd avoid Ichimonji because of the aura mod. Joining parties is the fastest and easiest way to get to maps.

Did an a9 sirus deathless last night. Respected the meteors in the first phase much better this time, and just did pretty well at dodging the die beam in the final phase. Need to give maven another try, last time i did on this character i did a very poor job at managing the gravity wells.

Could someone see my profile, I only reach 60-60 block chance...

See what in your profile? There's an entire section listing all the ways you can get more block. If you don't do any of that then what do you expect?

Hello. I would like to say that I have finished league using that build. Done 36 challenges.

What I have to say the build is not very well for bosses like author said.
I had troubles with Uber Elder which I killed few times with very luck. Sirus A9 is very hard because of lack dps.

Bosses withessed by Maven like Uber Elder, Cortex etc are nearly impossible to kill.

I had weapons 450pdps and sirus one and also one off hand with 400pds.

Got all "expensive" things which author showed in his description like awa gems, enlighten 4, good armor, good gems.. Still very low dps

Also checked the head with both +1 Bladestorm's / 40% increased dps by Bladestorm.

Clearing was also not very well.

Blighted encounters and maps13+ nearly impossible to do.

For the future of gameplay I never gonna make this weak build
