Considering the price of alts right now - using aug is worth it.

No, scours are, like, 2 for 1 chaos right now on SC Heist. Not worth it. I mean, you can use aug when you roll only prefix on a bow to save on some currency. If the suffix obtained after that still isn't the needed one - continue rolling with alts.
It takes more time, but potentially saves you some orbs all in all.

/Edit: After all, on the next step you play with rng when annuling useless affix anyways. Though, obviously, if the only useless affixes on the resulting after regaling rare bow are prefixes - you can spend 2 ex to not play with annul rng by locking suffixes and scouring. Though imprinting and then attempting to annul/revert imprint till successfull - is on average cheaper.
/Edit2: Though with Craicic Chimerals being 0.5 ex at the cheapest right now(and, looking at the amount of sellers vs beasts on trade, it looks like some price fixing is going on)... 2 ex for metamod looks like the better option right now for softcore Heist.

This one took 1200 alts and my first one took 7. RNG is a *****
Worst thing is after the alts you probably need to annul so you can continue to craft. RNG on top of RNG.

Worst thing is after the alts you probably need to annul so you can continue to craft. RNG on top of RNG.

I crafted about 10 of them this league - pretty variable but certainly had some that took 1000+ (and others that I got within 20-30). The average was maybe around 300-400. Make sure it is high enough itemlevel.

With current alteration prices (and for the sake of your wrist & sanity) I highly recommend to beast-imprint before regal & annuling!

Hey qwertz, that bow is insane! Thanks for the help ingame earlier.
I will try to fossil craft that bow, maybe i get lucky :)
I dont have a +1 support gems implicit base only one with 51% spell damage, but the +1 support gems is just too expensive.

Was able to craft this a few weeks back, have made two of them now. On average I hit +1str +1int in about 12ish fossil rerolls (faceted and atheric). Had to annul everytime I hit as I still had a 3rd suffix.
