Donald Trump and US politics

I don't think it's weird for someone who has been criticized for inaccurate statements previously to want to be careful to avoid being inaccurate currently.
"Got a decent source on that? Breitbart is reporting on the SPLC's report rather than digging themselves (misleading!), and the SPLC reports on "rumors" and doesn't link to the alleged video evidence. At this point it smells of fake news. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. " Isn't that like asking can Antifa stop Trump? Only if they increase their members a million fold and start an uprising. Otherwise, no. |
|
" Absolute twaddle. If that many votes were forged, no one would be able to keep it out of the media, left or right. Moreover, Trump won the election, he has nothing to prove. This is jst his ego getting the better of his senses, again! " Source. " Things change under new ownership. Stop inventing things. " The Voter fraud investigation is a witch hunt. It's real purpose is voter suppression. |

" From what I can see, a lot of this rumour seems to have started recently, primarily from those this trying to spin the events of the weekend in Charlottesville. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Kellog#5737 um 17.08.2017, 03:16:43

" I don't really understand his connections here. As far as I can see, Antifaschistische Aktion, which came into being in 1932, was basically founded to provide support for the communists against the Nazis. I guess he's suggesting that if there hadn't been confrontation between the communists and the Nazis, Hitler wouldn't have been able to rise to power as easily as he did. However, if that is what he's implying, it's nonsense. Hitler had already gained significant support prior to 1932 and the formations of Antifaschistische Aktion wouldn't have made any difference. |
|
" The history of Weimar Republic Germany is useful. It took Roter Frontkämpferbund red shirts (militant wing of the KPD/Communists) openly fighting with Sturmabteilung brown shirts (militant wing of the Nazis) in the street to scare the people into voting for more law and order, which the Nazi party was aligned to provide. The red shirts later reformed as Antifaschistische Aktion, escalating the violence once more, but were shut down even more swiftly and after the public gave yet more votes to the Nazis. Shortly after that was the Reichstag Fire (blamed on the communists who everyone knew were violent enough for arson) and... the rest is history. The argument is that if the communists had remained calm with their small political gains and continued fighting the war of words without resorting to violence, they could have potentially ended up with a larger part of parliament, or at least not empowered the fascists. |

Today I learned from this wonderful thread, that Hitler wouldn't have gassed millions of people if nobody tried to stop him.

" I'm sure if you just punch some people that that'll fix things. |
|
" I guess the takeaway fro this, beware a modern day Reichstag fire under the Trump Administration. |

"with violonce and instead relied on rational argument to sway public opinion. Yeah, pretty much. Make memes, not war, my dude.
