How much RMT in PoE? A RMT site has 1115 post per day for BSC compared to PathofExile.com's 775/day
" There isn't. But, if you compare trading posts on POE website vs a popular RMT site for standard, you'll see standard a historical total on the 1 single popular RMT site has 30% of the post that the OFFICAL site does. Which could mean: - 30% of the players do it - 15% of the players do it but are 2x as active since the beginning of POEs existance - 45%+ of players do it because standard is super low population 25% of the year due to challenge leagues. (Or many players sell their items in standard after the league to buy in the following league - remember this is just 1 site I looked at I don't even know how many sites there are and this doesn't include the one I see get spamming in trade chat all day by bots) - Or any combination of the above. I'm just raising the discussion to see if anyone knows the extent of this issue or even a way to quantify it. It's plausible the amount of RMT that goes on is way higher than many assume and GGG just doesn't have the proper tools and financial means to deal with it. There is no way to know how rampant rmt is, it could be very little or very high and that is not something GGG will ever disclose.
There was a time when I cared much more but after years of play and seeing blizzard fail their war against rmt i suppose i kind of gave up internally. There was a short time when GGG was vocal about the number of accounts they were banning on a semi daily bases but i cant recall the last time they did such a thing. " Don't want to upset you but you may consider to get some informations about the cost it is for a video game company to start a legal proceeding against RMT websites, and aswell the poor impact it generaly has. GGG is far from beeing wealthy as Blizzard is. In fact 99.9999% of company are far from Blizzard, Valve ans such giant of the video games industry. Just because i did be interested to know why. What does the challenges have to do with that ? Many players are going in temp leagues but don't give a shit about challenges you know it has been like that since .. well always in fact. Educating userbase, and hiding RMT reddit / forum threads are a good start and a good measure in fact. Asking google to hide some results would be welcome aswell tought it would have a poor impact either. Except removing trading not much things to do. And regarding it's actual state actualy it's not a so bad idea. Hf :) Zuletzt bearbeitet von Heli0nix#0378 um 26.12.2016, 23:56:31

im more concerned with where the rmt products come from. i imagine they sell all kinds of currency like exalts and shit, where do they come from? gotta be from flippers and bots.
im a little more concerned with there being stacks of mirrors after just a few days of a brand new league. then a supreme minority of people are able to flip and trade or w/e they do well enough to obtain the majority of the wealth?? what the hell is happening. |

"Most probably come from hijacked accounts. Im sure though that people in poorer countries probably do it as a job or side job. From what ive seen POE stuff sells for alot. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

" Just to make sure, are these the same RMT sites that are known for using bots and scripts to post in chat? How do you eliminate scripted and automated posts from your results? Also, what the heck do people post on a game-specific forum of an RMT site other than variations of "thanks" and "wtf you stol my account"? RMT and botting have been around since forever, it's not gonna change sadly.
" Back in Perandus, I've sat for half an hour in Sarn camp while I ate my launch. During that half hour I saw 3 players running bots. If I sat there for 24h, how many would I see? How many more of them are there and go completely unnoticed? Yeah, it's a widespread problem. 177

" It's a well known fact that only a tiny % of players use any games official forums. Your statistics are completely incorrect if you are considering a large % of POE players post on the POE website. It's more likely 1% or less that use this website |

" The idea that any % beyond 5-10 of the games community visits forums is absurd. I have 9 friends that play PoE , im the only one that ever visits the forums , many of them had never been until until yesterday to get the free box for Christmas. The fundamental premise of your equation that overall player % can be derived directly from forums is a beyond flawed idea. |

"just as an idea that any % beyond 5-10 of the games community visits RMT forums. And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
