[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)
" My cousin has a reach for his build. I borrowed it and ran a few maps + merci lab tonight then went back and did the same with my opus. It's a massive increase in damage, but not 100% necessary you can definitely make due with opus. Still if you have the currency go for it. |

What about taking attack speed in cruel instead of passive point?

What about the slayer version of this build no one talks about it. You lose a bit of dps but you can't die if you dont get one shot

" thats fine to do. I chose passive point to get an extra life node one level earlier basically. A few tips on map mods: %Chance to avoid poison, bleed and stun it is very rough to do vs. high tier bosses like guardians. Reroll it on guardian maps, maybe also on red maps 60% slower recovery of life/ES This is tricky, your leech will be way less effective, and not a good source of survivability anymore. Definetely reroll it on Hydra/Chimera maps, maybe also for other guardians. In general be very careful with this mapmod on phys/ele reflect as i wrote in the gearing part, you need to change to tornado(elereflect) or the belt(physreflect) - the belt however removes quite some dps so it can get difficult if there is extra mods that reduce your dps (enfeeble/reduced damage from crits) so be aware of that Those are really the only ones that come to my mind, everything else is fine. Sure, some crazy combos like more crits/less accuracy/double extra damage/vulnerability can wreck you, so don't do too many damage mods on very high tier maps. AoE on the phoenix is very tough too. tempchain+enfeeble hurt your dps quite a bit, if its combined with more monster life, more boss life, reduced damage from crits, guardian fights can get very tough very quickly. Just use common sense on that. in general I would not recommend running hydra or chimera when they have extra life mods/dps reducing mods. Chimera also gets tough with alot of extra damage. phoenix and minotaur however can be done with many crazy mods if your dps is good. RIP King of the Forest view-thread/1738625

Since getting life+res %chaos dmg jewellery is damn too hard , I was thinking to use high life+res helmet instead of devoto and get %chaos dmg+life jewellery. What do you think about this? Move speed loss might hurt mapping speed a bit but damage increase would be quite big I assume.

Is there any reason why you are using the queen of the forest instead of the normal armor with high er and good resist? I don't see anything special in the queen, but i don't play poe a lot, so maybe is something what i don't know.

" High Evasion, Life, Tri-Res and Movementspeed as a mainreason. This build focus on runspeed. "Temporal Chains multiplies the duration on the monster that you are already multiplying through duration multipliers of poison damage."

" Just pure movement speed you get from queen of the forest. There is no armour with no downside and still provide 5-20% ms under normal circumstances. High-end gearing can exceed 20% easily with flask. Important stat: "gain 1%movement speed for every 450 evasion rating" Last time I check my stat was 8-9k unflasked, around 20k evasion flashed with mediocre gear. Have to check my new evasion rating when I get to play. |

" Im sitting just under 20k evasion currently with grace up. 20k/450 = 44.44~ - 25 = 19.44~ run speed bonus from the armor. The mobility of Queen of The Forest is quite nice for the build as it gives you lots of leeway for making placement mistakes - if you are pr0 you can probably switch it up for something that will help your survival against stuff you cant effectively out-position, however you shouldn't be aiming to facetank with this build at all - that is what your totem or clones are for. Other good options not really covered in the OP are Belly of The Beast, Lightning Coil, and The Perfect Form (Phase Acro + Free Arctic Armor!) - The Perfect Form is highly underrated as a survival piece. |
