RANGER FACEBREAKER - CRIT

Trades off 1.37 attacks per second in exchange for higher crit chance and crit multi.
Doesn't have the same feel as raider. Raider is just a lot faster in general.

Swapped out the legacy facebreakers for the current ones since I'm playing harbinger. Upper middle rolls on the damage. Also took out power charges.
Gear is still the same for all other items. Can probably fine tune tree more with more time, but lazy.

I think i had ~90% of the original dps with assassin notable using the current facebreakers, unless I'm missing setting. Feels like I should have lower but I had crazy high crit chance in PoB so maybe that's why. Though I ended up using almost all of the leftover passive points in the PoB you gave me. Though the build might feel quite different compared to the original build's Bruce Lee level fisting, which I'm still trying to keep. The build becomes even more crit focused, though whether or not that's a good thing or a bad thing, idk. Still wasn't able to add more life to the build which I feel might be very inconvenient since Izaro one shots us if he gets lucky iirc.

But then I thought about Yugul notable which gives 25% reduced(i think it's reduced?) reflected dmg taken, and then just using a 4l infernal blow mapping setup, which given this builds insane dps should hopefully(?) again not too experienced in reflect dmg calculations, should be fine for mapping and surviving that random 1 reflect rare with vaal pact? I know some people said vaal pact should be enough to mitigate phys reflect but again, not too sure on what they say. Might be able to run a phys reflect map with infernal blow since infernal blow is 50% converted to fire which layered with Yugul's pantheon, might be enough? Not too sure on inferno blow's single target dmg but also not confident enough to straight up attack reflect map with frenzy. But then you run into the problem of ele reflect which could possibly kill you with the inferno blow explosion? Not sure if the explosion can be reflected or not.

Again, these are all just some theoretical ideas based on a possibly grossly overestimated dmg of phys reflect. I know reflect can get dodged (not sure if it can be evaded, pretty sure no) with capped dodge you could technically sustain hitting reflect mobs with frenzy assuming that you have enough leech to not instagib yourself and you don't get unlucky enough to not dodge reflect like 4x in a row although in theory a cwdt immortal call set up should prevent that from happening. Just trying to reduce the weaknesses of this build cause I really like how this build feels in general, but this might also just be me being retarded. :|

On a side note: considered switching the build to slayer because gets impact which means free melee splash so pretty much running a 5l/7l set up, and then you get the added survivability of slayer leech and reflect notables, but not sure if I can achieve high enough dmg with slayer since slayer ascendancies don't have any single target scaling except for that 20% more multi on kill which doesn't work for bosses which don't summon adds :|. Also managed to get doryani's touch to ~600k shaper with conc effect and flasks. Not sure if that's high enough. Still trying out new pathes. Resists get easier since you can replace meginords with doryani's invitation and get similar/better damage. Could use a kaom's as defensive chestpiece, though that would be really expensive. Not sure what else to put on the chest. Could set up a comk shield charge shock nova that i saw on a berserker build. Also could probably just put an ancenstral warchief there.


Thanks bro, unfortunately I don't see a way to make reflect immune on this build. This is actually one reason why I like using Frenzy for clearing maps - yes it's slower but it allows me to see and avoid reflect rares. If I was rushing through on Shield Charge for example I would not be able to avoid reflect as easily.

Unfortunately the damage is just too high on this build - even if you drop to 200k DPS, if you hit a crit you will still one shot yourself on reflect.

The only way I have survived reflect is by sipping Rumi's and when my frenzy charges are up for Dodge as you can see in the Vaal Temple vid (hit reflect rares twice) - but this is a gamble so it is best to not do this. Yes you can evade, dodge and block reflect.

But usually I can see the reflect rares in advance and it is easy to avoid them. Unless you do the full elemental conversion build like you said, I wouldn't attempt running reflect maps - just reroll.


Slayer is a good idea bro that I haven't fully explored. You might be able to get more DPS by replacing Inc. Crit Chance gem with Ruthless gem. Ruthless gem actually gives more DPS on this build than Inc. Crit Chance gem but you will definitely need to use a Diamond flask.

You can also try Ruthless on your Doryani build to up the DPS some more.

It works well with a high APS build using Multistrike as your 3rd skill use will have the 3 multistrikes all boosted by Ruthless - giving incredible spike damage especially if you crit as well on that set.



Yeah I could definitely put the full frenzy set up with ruthless on a belly and then try Doryani's touch for only aoe clear. Doryani's touch can't be support by multistrike unfortunately and it has a -30% less attack speed innate mod which makes optimizing it extremely difficult. It's possible to try to scale it as non crit to try and to take advantage of the 250% damage effectiveness, but afaik noncrit doesn't scale nearly as far as crit into the lategame. Also not sure how I would go about making a noncrit doryani's build. Doryani's just a lot harder to scale since it's bulk damage is added lightning and that means rigwald's curse isn't nearly as effective since the claw nodes largely scale physical damage.

That's actually a good idea to use the touch of god for AOE - you don't need multistrike if it's just your AOE skill - just one hit on the ground should be enough to one shot packs adn then just move on. That way you can keep your Frenzy 6l for full single target which would be very nice. I think single target Frenzy you can get some very high DPS, even 750k single target would be a good build.

Alternatively you can just use touch of god in your glove (it's awesome that it is basically a 5L), and then strap Kaom's on chest and that would also be a very good build for regular mapping.

I mean, unless you are trying to do T16 bosses, 500k DPS is already enough for regular mapping.

True that Rigwald's Curse is not that effective but if you don't use it and add some crit I think your DPS will be cut in half on Doryani.

Unfortunately the real issue seems less that you can't take claw phys nodes, but more that you can't take the Pugilist jewels as these add a lot of inc. damage.

Nice Slayer tree, looks good. Only suggetions would be to consider the Duelist starting melee damage nodes instead of the APS, and Heart of Oak is taking 4 points we could use elsewhere or dump into more life nodes.

Yeah I will when I get something substantial out of it. I've been really busy recently so haven't had time to finish working on the build. You can replace the pugilist nodes with 3 grand spectrums which will add a lot more damage.
Well I tried making an almost-noncrit scion doryani's build (need some crit for ele overload), and this was the best I could do: https://pastebin.com/peb3HY6A. Damage is only decent but maybe someone can improve it.

Apologies if you covered this before but at least it will be quick. I don't see you using P2L in your 6L on the main guide post. Do you still use shock? P2L? What do you link in your 6L if you still use P2L? (in other words, what comes out of your 6L)?
