Good job making probably the best unique in the game. Least the item the most people will want for their builds. Koams or Wrappings are more powerful but effect way less builds.

Well he's right in a sense, everyone uses auras and the helmet itself isn't bad. Decent EV, Freeze Immunity, Cold Resist... of course you would be missing 2 resists and Life, but for a BM build for example, the Reduced Mana Reservation with Grace/Anger/Wrath would already cover the ~90 life you could get from a normal Helmet.

EDIT: wtf was I think, I just did the obvious math and it wouldn't reduce THAT much mana reserved, but it's still a very good helmet.

The 8% Mana Reduction would save BM builds 31 ish life. With a lvl 20 wrath, anger, and grace.

That is, unless the +2 levels of aura gems increases mana cost as well. Which, in that case, it would be quite a bit more.

A 7 aura koam's BM build may come out even or even ahead.

yeah , for the BM gem, 4 percent mana auras strat , this frees up at least 2 skill points , possibly up to 5 depending on where you get the reduced mana reservation nodes,600 ev with IR and a free resists make this helm very good, considering the popularity of BM IR ranger.

Not nearly as universal as Kaom's tough.

Um, also the reduced mana reserved isnt for just the gems in that helm its for all your auras. and i know i run like 6 7 auras on my guys.
