It's not buggy. Account linking allows people with an existing Path of Exile account to begin using Steam if they don't already. When Steam users try using the tool not designed for their situation, it doesn't work well. Kind of like using a hammer instead of a screwdriver. It won't do what you want it to do, but that doesn't mean the hammer is damaged or not working properly.

I did this too! Already sent an email
