Yes it is, since we have Essence worm - it is not a big difference in mana pool, but u get flat mana regen on "no regen" maps + its very helpful in bossfights.

Yes, you are right, i didnt mean we should put Clarity in EW. I meant Clarity has flat reservation pool and Wrath doesnt reserve anything. More important thing is that u need atleast 1000 unreserved mana to go maps (like guide says) and id recommend 1500+ to go T10-T15.
For Big boss fights aim for Watcher's Eye with mana leech, believe me, MotC isnt enough for them to sustain mana.

Thanks for clearing that up! I think that makes sense - i'm still trying to farm up T10-15 maps...i don't know how to do it efficiently. I only seem to get T6-9 maps to drop...

Thanks for clearing that up! I think that makes sense - i'm still trying to farm up T10-15 maps...i don't know how to do it efficiently. I only seem to get T6-9 maps to drop...

i could give u some advices in gear if you need, but ur characters are hidden. For mapdrops rate you should clear low tier maps as much as u can to increase % of +1/2 maptier drop. I can help a bit in game with maps, since i dont need much of them anymore.

I keep dying at lvl 88, either in incursions or map bosses but I am really struggling to level rn... idk whats wrong with my build.

Howdy, the thing is that ur problems (if they appear ofc) comes from helm. Since u dont have MotC, u should go mana flask which is huge dmg/def loss + u dont need Rotgut flask (or any movementspeed in this build). Buy Wise Oak + Atziri + Basalt for beginning, add Ahn's + 2 Fragility and u will be ok till t14-15.

Do we know roughly the chance for getting an Arc 20/20 gem to double corrupt to Vaal Arc 21/20? The latter is incredibly expensive. If the main benefit is the extra chain, then just a level 2 Empower is quite a bit cheaper (but ofc takes up a gem slot).

Well yes, but u need both vaal 21/20 and empower 4 (in perfect conditions). Not only extra chain, but much more flat dmg, that will increase overall lightdmg to heavens.

Thanks. Doesn't quite answer the question, but better than nothing :) Didn't even know that double corruption only had a 25% chance of occurring. I tried yesterday with a Starkonja, but it got bricked :( For gems, do we need the Lapidary lens or can it be done in on the corruption alter (too)?

Not that I will get (m)any chances to do this anyway, since I basically can't stand incursions (even though this build certainly makes them more tolerable).

About Empower, ofc it would be grand to have both of those fantastic items, but it either requires extreme luck or a wheelbarrow of exalts. And considering the extra chain has been pushed back from level 24 to 26 (lvl 25 for Vaal Arc), the gain isn't as massive as it was before. Hopefully the 8th chain should be strong for those of us who don't swim in exalts ;-)

But I have another question. Now that I'm done with the story and got hit with another 30% resistance penalty, I need to go over my gear and change a whole lot, and set up the Vortex-CWDT, as it sounds to be recommended to have two CWDT setups. Since most enemies will be killed from distance and I may not try to up block chances a whole lot, what gem is best to use as the third one? The guide mentions Tempest shield, but it looks like that won't trigger unless we block.
