Err, it is normal to have Righteous Fire (non-Vaal) on all the time? I think it's because of the regen but i now have another "aura" on with righteous fire. Like, i was using conductivity auto-hex but i changed to RF and i went from 320K DPS (tooltip for the Arc in-game) to 426K with righteous fire always on. This is amazing tbh.
Yeah, it's very desirable to run RF once you have enough mana regen to sustain it. Damage buff is too powerful not to run it in a setup like ours that supports it really well (i.e. Agnostic, 4k> life, huge mana pool with a ton of regen).
So imagine my excitement when I hit a lapidary lens while grinding xp on an anomalous arc. Yay! Now I'm the owner of a 20/10 Vaal Anomalous Arc. Should I use it over a 21/0 Arc? My instinct says no...
Yeah i really like spellcaster builds as well, but in the beginning ive bricked so many attack and spell builds i just stuck to dot/chaos builds which i did a bit better with. i think im going to level a witch tonight. It really looks fun to play and i could use a bit of fun after mindlessly mapping with barely any results. is there anything i should do when i get to maps? And anything different than the guide recommends?
You totally should! Leveling with Arc is really fun, even if you spec into another build afterward. Once you know what you're doing, it's definitely more satisfying than another generic cdot build. I'd buy a level 1 20% Anomalous Arc to start with so you can benefit from the extra chain length early on. Grab an Atziri's Foible and equip it the moment your level is high enough, stack as much mana and regen as possible on your early tree and gear, keep your Clarity and mana flask(s) current, and drop all non-Clarity auras as soon as you get Archmage. Don't run MoM and Agnostic together until endgame, it's too hard on your mana pool with Archmage early on. I prefer Agnostic, but pick one of the two (MoM is better against one-shots).
Enki's guide is superb through the whole game and progression should be smooth into maps, so you shouldn't have to worry about doing anything specific (aside from capping resistances, of course).
As you reach endgame and have currency to do so, there are definitely some upgrades you can make outside of what the guide recommends that will yield big damage increases. PoB is unfortunately still fucked (won't export), so I can't share mine, but there are a number of people posting on here whose characters you can look at through their profiles or by importing them into PoB via their accounts. Because the build has a strong backbone and PoE is a beautiful game, there are virtually limitless ways to get creative, Nyangoro, Gimdornim, and Zarasi--among others!!--all have Heist necros that offer great examples of what to strive for. I fully admit I have departed from the guide's build in some ways and that some of my gear is definitely still jury-rigged, , so for reference only, here is what I am currently working with, including cluster jewels:
OK. I am a bit smitten with your Stygian Vise. I had one with all the stats I needed with an open suffix. I maxed out quality with fertile catalysts and hit with Redeemer Exalt. Of course I did not get the mana recovery rate mode. Do you or anyone here have any crafting ideas/suggestions?
Of course I am not saying it's a bad wand per se, but that if it had Spell Cascade on it the price of the wand would skyrocket.
Would probably be lower in value to be honest, as then there would be no space for the Trigger craft. It's a nice wand though, I'd agree - I'd be tempted to slam it and hope for +added damage to spells, +gems, +lightning damage, etc.

I wouldn't. I'd be definitely looking at the numbers if it was a Divergent Arc, but on an Anomalous Arc the extra chain range is frivolous in my opinion.

Hey, Ive given up on my build. It just didnt feel feel fun even though im at the beginning stage. Couldnt even buy gear to cap my resists to begin with since trade is turbo dead. Dunno what to do now though. Would want to give it another chance but im not gonna make it without proper help.

Did you craft cannot roll attack before slam? If so the chance of getting mana recovery mod is 50/50, and with catalyst there's some minor improvement, to 54.5%. Probably can't do better than that. I crafted mine too and only hit T2 suffix:
You can sell the current one to fund the next craft. Good luck!

If I were you I'll work on replacing the glove and belt. You don't really have best abyss jewels so Darkness Enthroned is not helping you. You can usually get Stygian Vise with good res and acceptable life under 3 chaos, most likely 1 chaos. As for the glove, you can probably pick up something better yourself. Your ring reduces the mana cost so is not good for archmage build. Try to replace that. Again with 1c there's lots of options. You should unlink clarity from other gems to minimize the mana reservation. Flesh offering should not be used since you can only have 1 offering active at a time, so it will cause conflict with bone offering. Finally, there's plenty of wands with mana > 120 for under 1c. Since you're over level 60, running a couple of chaos recipe should prepare the cost for you.

Hope I can help a bit here:
What makes you feel not fun with this build?
• Do you have issue on mana sustain? (e.g. cannot keep casting the Arc spell)
• Do you die a lot? (vs. bosses or vs. group of monsters?)
• Do you feel movement is slow during leveling?
Please explain a bit more since people will be able to suggest more specifically to help you.

Haven't checked your build with POB, but taking a glance I can see some problems in your build:
• You're likely to suffer from mana sustain when 6 link the Arc spell. The mana cost is too high when you don't have a big mana pool via a complete skill tree. You can try to remove Chain support, and optionally remove Elemental Focus support to only keep 5 links or even 4 links. As replacement, you can put Item Rarity Support there.
• You don't need both Herald of Thunder & Wrath. Early on we'd better focus on survival so replace the Essence Worm with another resist ring. You can also replace your belt with good resistance there.
• You need Second wind support for Flame Dash, otherwise the movement skill feels stuck, to make moving easier, you can also replace the Quartz Flask with another QuickSilver Flask

Good Morning.
I want to apologize to the people in this thread. I have not been a pleasant person, to say the least, and I acted like an unspoiled brat to everyone else here. For this, I beg for forgiveness.
But playing this build has been far from being the pleasant experience everyone is saying about, lately doing even a map that is over tier 9 has become practically impossible and I’ve spent more than 3 Exalted to gear me up which a considerable part of my belongings and I tried to follow the guide to upgrade my gears more but everything is out of my budgets, the only pair of boots better than the one I'm using are 12 exalted and I can't figure out how to upgrade my rings without messing up the whole build or that I can't find a recipe for Trigger a skill no matter how many veiled items I unveiled.
So, you can understand how frustrated someone can be when you are the only idiot unable to go further while everyone else is having fun.
And the things aren’t going to get better going forward.
