[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

I'm new to game and would love your opinions on my character.I'm level 77.3,5k health, resistance capped, have around 100 chaos, 13k tornado dps with hatred and herald of thunder and here is my gear.Don't know what i can upgrade. I can farm tier6 and tier 7 with some struggle.

However some people go for 8 instead of 6 first, to be honest from my point of view they are almost the same, they just give damage but i personally liked the flat 40% bonus ele dmg on 6 and went for it instead of the stacking small bonuses on frenzy which ramp up

In the end of the day you are gonna get all of them soon enough so its okay, just get someone to carry you on labs which is cheap. If you don't have the trials buy some "The Dream Trial" prophecies to speed up the process

HP is 3903, Tornado Shot damage is 17,729 unbuffed. Around 22,000 even with Hatred and Herald of Ice. Damage is fine but some maps I just get insta killed in bursts and I've been stuck at 55%-65% all evening as I get somewhere and lose all the progress.

Would probably help If I did the Ascendancy stuff.

You are lacking tons of stuff its a miracle you have progressed until that place you are.

Idk where to start from tbh, for starters you need Cast When Damage Taken/Immortal Call/Increased Duration Support/ (and a optional gem here, maybe frost wall) which will save you from some random Phys dmg spikes which you would not like to die from

You need a single target skill, Barrage. Read the guide, spec on it. When it levels up along with its support gems it will get better to vs Bosses compared to Tornado. Tornado is good for cleanup, Barrage for single target clears.

You need to get a better chest at least and 5 link it. Minimal requirements and needed, you are lacking power because of it. Personally i use Queen of the Forest because i like the group of stats it gives however finding a 5link one is too expensive. I guess you could find a simple 5 link evasion chest just to get the job done, they are way cheaper compared to the unique ones.

Move your tornado shot and its support gems on the 5 link chest and get your barrage on the 4link bow

Get a better belt with a better combinations of stats, i guess you are on a budget and a Doryani's Invitation Heavy Belt could work for now. Check the rolls tho, there are some of them which we don't make much of (with armor rolls), and there are versions of it with 3 ele resistances which are good for us. Generally its a cheap, good belt.

Your 1st hp pot is bad, low level and consumes mana. Replace it with the latest hp pot and reroll it until you get bleeding removal. 2nd pot has useless stats for us too, minion healing ? no need. get some freezing removal on 2nd hp pot

Mana pot should not be needed too, you probably have mana issues because you lack damage, when you fix the dmg lacking issue you will leech back more mana. Replace mana with Atziri's Promise, a cheap investment too if you do not try to get the best rolls.

Diamond Flask also increases our DPS a lot in combination with Atziri's Flask.

There are more changes you could do however just get those done and you will see.

Take everything i say with a grain of salt because i have been experiment too trying to find out what could work.

Personally i dislike Hatred a lot after using quite a bit. It gives us a bit more damage compared to other solutions (2 Heralds) however it limits our build possibilities, in this game (when you are trying to lv up) it doesn't matter if you can go on 30mins without dying if you are doing to die randomly out of nowhere with a burst, it kills your momentum and wastes our time.

Hence why i got rid of Hatred (50% mana reserved) and it opened up more options/exploration, first i tried Arctic Armor + Herald of Thunder however HoT needs lots of INT to level up which we lack since we do not spec from the tree (personally i grabbed a 30 node tho) so i replaced it with Herald of Ash

Arctic Armor has saved me a bunch of times and it works on Rangers because we are stationary when we shoot stuff, plus slowing the enemies while we are fast works. Herald of Ash gives less dmg compared to Hatred however its expected since HoA reserves 25% Mana instead of 50% which allows us to run Arctic.

Also i never liked the insta health pots because the healing amount is minimal, 816 HP is almost nothing from my point of view especially when the game ramps up (tier 12 ++ maps) and we gain a bigger health pool + enemies do more damage. You may feel like you need brust health regen and i agree with that don't get me wrong however your health regen from flasks is slow because you are using the lv60 flasks instead of lv65 which are slower (4s vs 7s)

Get the new flasks, ramp up their quality and your survivability will be improved a bit.

You could run Frost wall on on CWDT too which is a bit niche to be honest however it works sometimes. The thing is you can't tho since you don't have any free slots left because of Kaom's

Last but not least, you haven't Ascended at all which is handicapping you a lot. Those 8 points will skyrocket your potential, theorizing and building upon your char is almost useless since soon he will change a lot.

Edit: I forgot to mention, shouldn't Herald of Ashe synergise nice with Kaom's since Kaom's give us 20% Fire damage ? So HoA makes sense and along with Signal Fire we do tons of Fire damage.

But in general there we can't do much about the reflect issue which lots of people including me talked about pages ago. Personally then i find anything reflective i remove phys to lightning gem so i won't kill myself

Yeah I typically use Ice Golem with the curses (i just discovered frost wall) and I tend to use Arctic Armor far more than Hatred. In fact, I am beginning to.. hate.. hatred.

Do you still need to do all 6 of the trials before you can do the ascendancy quests? Also should Arctic Armor be ran separate or on cwdt type deal? I've been using it manually.

This is the order I went with for my build, worked out fine for me. :)

Do you have pastebin url for this guide?

Should the skill tree TS Raider change at all if using in hardcore? Also, I ran into pretty intense mana issues around level 40, where using hatred plus herald of thunder wasn't efficient. Do you have any recommendations for that? Thanks

Yes you need to finish all 6 Trials before you can enter Uber lab at least. It should be ran separate, you need to have it enabled before you get damaged to actually work and save you not after since then it will already be late

Also if i'm not mistaken we can walk through Frost Wall because of phasing so it fits a bit, while the enemies can not.

No idea about HC however about Mana issues (and HP too) on leveling at least Slitherpinch gloves help a bit. You can't lv20 Herald of Thunder because it needs 155 INT something the guide does not spec in so its a waste of time, try Herald of Ice/Ash.

Ice is nice because its Ele dmg does not get reflected and it can spread curses, Ash can not spread curses.

It looks like your life is super low. I would drop Ming's Heart and get more life on pretty much everything.
