Need update on windripper skill trees

So Drillneck is insanely cheap this season for some reason.

I see there is a Drillneck skill tree in the OP, is the drillneck tree better than non-drillneck tree? Is there any reason not to do Drillneck for TS?

Also if Drillneck is the answer, what is the gem set up? TS-PPD-PIERCE-GMP-??? I am guessing

Oh wow, that unique is just silly. Effectively makes it a 7L with an amazing Harbinger rather than a 6L. I'll be running it with a +1 arrow corrupted Drillneck.

As far as the Poison gem goes, well it's not clear. It's "increased" poison damage, not "more" like Void Manipulation, and Assassin (as well as the passives around the Shadow starting area) gives you bonus chaos damage. If some other gems are way stronger it's worth ditching it and running Snakebite instead of Maligaro's. That's the question though: are other gems way stronger?

I think you're being a bit overdramatic. Increased Crit Strikes gives it 447 PDPS afaict, which is up there with insane Harbingers. Plus, people ran Voltaxic last season which had the same base (Spine Bow). The bow will probably cost what a decent Harbinger would given how it only drops from the Pale Council.

I'm not too worried about the crit base given how I'm running Assassin. The ICS gem won't even be necessary.

There's no reason to get snippy. Here is such a calculation.

I mentioned multiple times in the reply thread how I was running Assassin for the poison effect so, again, no need to get snippy. But even without Assassin, if you're running a skill that uses GMP, this bow is totally worth awesome.

As a phasing raider I think it could be pretty good. Usually we die because we dont dodge and get one shot and this chest may prevent this.
Did anyone try this chest?

Sure go for it. Just take the pierce cluster after getting the "core" tree. As a 4 Link take TS-Pierce-GMP-PPAD

Looks pretty nifty of you happen to get it. I still think a well crafted zodiac is our end game but until you get one that chest is really nice. We have a lot of uniques that benefit us so dropping extra resists off chest makes it that much harder for us to cap without near perfect jewelry.

I'm not sure if this chest or queen of the forest is better with alphas howl now. The 50% bonus to evasion would spike your movespeed nicely.
