Reliance on 3rd party tools - a big issue for mainstream players, the endgame & player retention
|
In order to meet the expectations of a modern game, a lot of core functionality is missing yet.
This includes price checking, auto-looting, inventory and stash management. Luckily most of these things have been addressed already by 3rd party tools. A lot of players do not use them though which is probably a deciding reason why they just leave after the campaign. Incorporating these solutions into the base game could be crucial for making it the best ARPG. Zuletzt angestoßen am 25.02.2026, 05:46:21

I agree. They should be looking at widespread use of 3rd party tools and working to incorporate those functions into the game. But they have so many fires to put out and issues to address, this is a wishlist item that I fear will never be addressed.

" > A lot of players do not use them though which is probably a deciding reason why they just leave after the campaign. Sure. And where'd you get those numbers from exactly? |
|
" If only the company had time before the game "releases" to focus on these issues or "fires", we could call that something like soon something, or or before something... ooo "early access" that's it. |

These are completely non-issue and I'm happy the way things are.
I'd rather GGG put resource into making POE2 into it's advertised vision with balance defensive mechanic first before making QOL improvement. Plus, with more things being added into the game, the file size is just going to be much more huge. I'd rather have the option of not using some 3rd party app to save size. |

" you may be happy how things were in 1753 as well |

I agree. Way too many things are outside the game. Path of building, crafting modifiers and lookups, item price check, etc. Hell, even league mechanics are not explained in the game like Temple. You have to watch a 30 minute Youtube video.
Given POE1 never had these built in, I dont think poe2 will either. Since GGG is essentially outsourcing these and gettint it for free, they have no incentive to build it within the game and would rather push out new league mechanics each league to sell supporter packs. |

Very true, I agree with OP. I'm glad it's being called out.
