Hardcore Death bug

Hello,

I’m writing to report what seems to be a technical issue that caused my Hardcore character to die unfairly.

During gameplay, my game suddenly froze completely. I couldn’t move, use any skills, or log out. The screen was stuck, and after a few seconds, the message “You are dead” appeared. However, my character was still visually standing upright on the screen.

It did not look like a normal combat death. The game simply froze, and I had no control at all before the death occurred. This happened instantly with no chance to react.

Is there any way this situation can be reviewed? This does not seem like an intended death but rather a crash or server-side issue.

Sounds like your client and the server became desynchronised.

GGG have a policy of never restoring dead Hardcore characters - and tbh I've never heard of a studio offering support in cases of lag or the like for an Early Access game.
