When you first encounter such a room, you can't progress further because, even if you kill every single monster outside the room, the core doesn't spawn to allow you to continue to new rooms. I checked twice in two chains of rooms, so there are four rooms in total, all of them buggy.

Killed all monsters in the room, core didn't spawn, can't click it to start the fight. I've opened a portal back to the Vaal Ruins, walked through all previously opened rooms looking for a missing monster to kill, nothing.... Very annoying bug, made me lose almost a whole temple run.
