On death cloud spawn

when trying to kill abyss monsters with the shadow cloud, when killing the monster outside of the cloud, either the cloud is being bulled on "cross slash" with my werewolf, or its death actually triggers the cloud to reset.
In anycase i have multiple times experienced killing the mob outside the cloud to then see the omen of liege, and the cloud then spawns after its death, but counted as being inside the cloud before it was visable.
