Dear GGG, your gem cutting process is completely backwards

Dear GGG, your gem cutting process is completely backwards, and let me tell you why.

It is probably one of the worse aspects related to UI and ease of use. It seems like it's working its way backwards, forcing us to go through multiple windows just to cut 1 gem. With the addition of tiers for supports, it makes it a huge nightmare just to cut your gems.

I'll explain.

The biggest issue here is that there is no way to check a gem's required level to cut and the corresponding uncut gem level prior to cutting.

This is the entire process I am forced to go through cutting a gem.

Open stash > click the gem tab > look for a uncut gem > right click the uncut gem for the skill/supp gems window to pop up > click the search bar and manually type the gem I want > (extra step if support) click on show all gems > select the gem I want to cut and click on engrave.

Why are there so many steps to cut a gem? It gets worse when it's a support gem, because I don't know what level uncut supp gem I need, if I clicked on the wrong lvl uncut gem, I have to press escape and repeat the whole process again. It makes absolutely no sense and till this day I'm scratching my head wondering how GGG is unable to see what a bad idea this was.

With tiered supports it just gets even more convoluted because there's nowhere in the game that tells me what level = what support tier. Is it III? IV? V?

A better solution:
Get rid of the gemcutting interface all together. This is a mess from its foundation and it doesn't matter what you guys do to it, it won't improve. Instead, add a new window with all the skill/support gems available in the game that can be cut.

Let's say I want a Rapid Casting II. Let's go through the process of cutting a new gem with this system:
Press the shortcut that opens the new gem window > click the search bar and manually type the gem I want > select the gem I want to cut > if I have the mats just click on engrave

Imo this is way more intuitive, simple to use and easy to understand.

Bonus: Why are cut gems (when no skill is selected to engrave onto or all support gems slots are filled up), do they go into my gem stash tab instead of my inventory? This adds another series of steps just to get my newly cut gem. A better solution is to have the newly cut gem go to your inventory instead.

???

On console support gem are sorted by tier. And there is a section break between tiers with a header indicating the tier. Tier 5 is at the end.

Also on console when you go to engrave a skill you can see the requirements before engraving (character level needed, attributes needed). In fact if you can't use something, the numbers are usually red instead of white.

The info is there, but it's not super obvious. I do agree the number of clicks to navigate is dumb, but that's for everything.
