Abyssal lich "Umbral Well" and Spellslinger causing issues with spirit reservation

Using Umbral Well from Abyssal Lich.

Lots of issues with spirit reservation, swapping between weapon sets, unable to toggle spellslinger when in weapon set 1, the correct amount of minions not "spawning in" even though the settings for weapon sets are correct, Weapon Set 1 should be able to reserve 1 minion, Set 2 should be able to reserve 4. Yet there's no changes in the top left when you try it out.

I've been messing around with this for a few hours now and I've just given up. Can't get it to work. Swapping areas, minion skill gems, and wands didn't work either.
