Temple Incident Resulting in Complete Destruction

Hello,

I have experienced an incident with my temple. In the first photograph, you can see how it was originally set up. In the second photograph, I show the next step I took by blocking the entrance and exit of the temple so that it would remove only one path. In the third photograph, you can see how the temple ended up completely destroyed after I closed it.

I do not understand why this happened. I have invested a great amount of time into the game and into building this temple, and I would not want to lose all the effort and dedication of the past few weeks.

I sincerely hope you can assist me in some way, as I am currently very confused about what went wrong. Thank you very much in advance for your time and support.
