Locked out of Sekhema Trial

Had a really sweet run going (10k honor, speed, damage buffs), and offered to let my brother join. Wouldn't let him join, but normally portaling out saves progress and allows you to resume. I portaled out, and then my portal is there but I cannot interact with it. I went to the Sekhema trial area and the relic alter is locked out (cannot interact with it), and the door is closed. Balbala has no text or anything. I restarted from waypoint, no dice. I logged out to the character select screen, went back in. Still locked out of the trial. My portal & locked out relic alter both persisted after relogging.

After about 15 minutes, it let me back in with saved progress. Maybe a glitch in the matrix.
