Vaal Temple Bug?

I encountered a possible bug and wanted to share it. When you die once while in the temple, the "tab" map resets, and you can't use the checkpoint to teleport anymore. Also, all items on the ground disappear. After finishing the run and exiting, the portal shuts down right away, and the original Vaal portal from the campaign becomes unusable.

I didn't experience this when I first entered the Vaal temple area; it only started happening today.

I have found out what triggered the bug. If the players interact with the "atziri altar" before level 75, the bug will trigger.
