I am writing to report a persistent and perplexing issue regarding the spawn rate of the Sacrifice Room in the Temple of Atzoatl during Path of Exile 2 Season 0.4. As part of building a "perfect temple" (following the optimal layout strategy), I successfully constructed the first full loop of the temple. During the first loop’s construction, the Sacrifice Room spawned frequently and reliably—it appeared in my room pool regularly, allowing me to place and utilize it as needed without any issues. However, when progressing to the second loop’s turning point, I encountered a critical roadblock: the layout requires a Sacrifice Room to complete the connection, but I have failed to obtain a single Sacrifice Room after over 30-40 Temple runs throughout an entire day of gameplay. Each run involved full temple activation, defeating Architects for additional charges, and thorough exploration, yet the Sacrifice Room never appeared in the available room pool—this stands in stark contrast to its consistent presence during the first loop. I have already taken proactive steps to rule out common issues: I confirmed there is no existing Sacrifice Room on the current temple map or in my reserved room slots; I regularly cleared redundant non-essential rooms to reduce pool clutter; I intentionally demolished any previously placed Sacrifice Rooms from the first loop to eliminate potential "unique spawn" restrictions; and I prioritized defeating Architects to collect Charges and increase room draw chances. Despite these efforts, the Sacrifice Room remains entirely unspawned in the second loop—an anomaly that aligns with reports from other players on community platforms (including official forums, NGA, and Reddit) who have described identical patterns: frequent Sacrifice Room spawns in early temple loops, followed by complete disappearance in later loops, even after dozens or hundreds of runs. While I understand rare rooms have lower spawn weights, the drastic shift from "consistently available" to "completely non-existent" between loops feels highly irregular. This issue is not isolated: multiple players have reported that after using or demolishing Sacrifice Rooms in early temple phases, the room ceases to spawn entirely in subsequent progression. Given Season 0.4’s recent temple adjustments—including diminishing returns on repeated room modifiers and swapped room bonuses—I wonder if these changes inadvertently introduced a bug affecting Sacrifice Room spawn logic in late-loop construction. I kindly request your team to: Confirm if the Sacrifice Room spawn mechanics were adjusted between early and late temple loops in Season 0.4, and if so, provide transparency on the specific changes. Investigate whether this abrupt shift from frequent to zero spawns is a bug related to late-loop temple progression, potentially triggered by prior placement/demolition of Sacrifice Rooms in the first loop. Bump because I'm having the same issue. Currently trying to finish my Roman road and I've done about atleast bare minimum a 120+ temple runs. Sacrifice a room did not pop up on my room cards at all. Been stuck in this loop for nearly 2 weeks now........

I assume you talk about the Sacrificial Chamber (for Cultivation Orb?). I didn't read your wall of text but just be sure that you have either a Thaumaturge, Corruption Chamber or Generator with a free room next to one of the chambers in your temple.
The game will always only offer you room you can use so for the temple to offer you a Sacrificial Chamber, you need one of those 3 rooms first. |
