Jiquani's Machinarium Bug

In the map Jiquani's Machinarium in Act 3, I’ve encountered a bug twice while playing two different characters.

The first time, I found many Small Soul Cores. I activated all the Altar Stones and was able to enter the Gold Vault, but in the end I still had extra Soul Cores left. I searched the entire map and couldn’t find any remaining Altar Stones.

The second time (my current run), I finished the map with 2 extra Small Soul Cores but couldn’t activate the Gold Vault at all. The Altar Stones don’t light up or become interactable, as if the Soul Cores are the wrong type. I ran around the map more than 10 times and couldn’t find any additional Soul Cores either.
