Eternal Knights and Entangle interaction

Not sure if its a bug or intended, but I thought Eternal knights were supposed to only be able to reflect projectiles with their shield. I'm finding with entangle that any direction the vines hit them im getting an overwhelming amount of projectiles shot back at me. Is this intended or no, since entangle is not a projectiles skill.
