The current experience is really bad.
Running should not be bound to the same button as rolling, and running should not require rolling before running. After entering the running process, if I want to stop, there will be a shaking motion lasting about 1 second, which is very slow and not smooth. I always get stuck in the terrain or corners while running on the map, so I have to roll and then run again. Don't you think it's strange, official? Or are you not even playing with the things you made yourself? There is no game that requires shaking after 1 second to stop running, nor is there any game that requires characters to roll around on the ground before running. Don't developers and planners find it strange? I need to roll when fighting against the boss, and every time I release the button, if I don't release it immediately, I will enter a rolling state and then experience a 1-second back roll, which makes it impossible for me to operate and results in being hit by the boss and losing, reducing my chances of winning against the boss. I think running is currently a completely cumbersome design in games, and it's not as smooth as playing without running in the 0.2 era. At least when I hold down the space bar, I won't accidentally trigger the disgusting and damn 1-second shake that occurs when rolling. If the characters in the game are brave warriors who dare to kill and master battles, why is the running maneuverability of the characters designed to be so impressive? Roll and run first, then roll back. I think in reality, ordinary people don't need such a long roll back when running at this speed, let alone high mobility characters. My suggestion is to add a separate run button instead of forcefully binding the roll button, which may cause players to make mistakes during gameplay, especially in boss battles where players do not need to run at all but make mistakes and trigger the run due to the roll button. It would be better to trigger rolling through the shift and movement keys. Oh, shaking after running for 1 second is not a very serious problem. The worst thing is that I can only run by binding to roll. If I want to disable running, I can only use my natural martyr's will to solve it. Yes, currently there is only this one method, which prevents me from rolling! This running mechanism actually has a serious sense of disconnection with the entire POE2 movement system.
