Endgame Atlas and Usage

Since atlas is not like POE1 and it keep continue spreading with infinite maps. Simply click on a node and run . Why do I have to craft a waystone and forcing me to use POE1 system over a new atlas.

The best gameplay would be :
Click a node open the map and run. Perhaps we can keep tablets UI on the left of the atlas active all the time.
