Connection issues

Constant latency spikes and stutters with poe2 and only poe2 im having issues with. And no its not my internet because it is only this game. And i also get constant stutters. As of right now i cant enjoy this game in this current state. Ive lost 2 nexuses because of this. Ive decided to take a break from the game for a while. Does not matter how many times i restart the game or create new instances.

GGG would need an MTR log at minimum to be able to investigate this.

The guide below was written with PoE 1 in mind, but should be easy enough to follow while making occasional changes (e.g. going to a different folder for PoE 2's log file).

Running MTR tests against their web server is not likely to be helpful.

There's no guarantee it & the instance server you're playing on are even on the same continent.

so how do i get the ip/host for the instance? i feel like poe2 should tell me this

It's not a problem if you get stuck somewhere and need to say "I got as far as X and don't know what to do next" - but please understand that GGG do not provide Technical Support; anyone who responds to you is just another person who plays the game. The expectation is you'll be willing to make at least as much of an effort as the strangers helping you online for free.

If you would like help finding the log file for Path of Exile 2 - the guides are, admittedly, written with PoE 1 in mind - please do tell us which client you're using, as the location of the log file isn't standardised and so we can't tell you where to look without knowing that.
