Trial of Sekhemas - Needs nerfing the Afflictions at least by 10%

TLDR: I died out of nowhere on the third floor while I was in one room before the final boss to get my ascedency points. The Afflictions are too frequent, too much and too punishing and the Afflictions should be nerfed a bit (not removed, jsut nerfed) , too many afflictions and too little bonuses/Boons/buffs. I had at least 8 rooms straight with only bad and punishing afflictions and 0 buffs and 0 merchants on almost an entire floor (8 rooms only afflictions).
I am so tired of doing 100000 trials just to get my third ascedency, the design of the afflictions is too bad, the afflictions should be nerfed (not removed, just nerfed)

GGG, please, just change the Trial of Sekhemasalready...
I died instantly because of way too many afflictions in the last room on my 3rd level right before fighting the boss to get my ascendency points.

The trial honor is idiotic, I just got a failure on my 3rd Ascendency trial on my 3rd floor, in the last room before the Boss , out of the blue, out of nowhere, just instantly lost all of the honour and lost the progress.....

I am tired of so many afflictions, the Merchant prices are way too high, the relics don't really help.

Please...JUST NERF THE AFFLICTIONS...... don/t remove the afflictions, just neft them.
Too many afflictions, I have nothing against the afflictions mechanic..it's just that there are way too many afflictions and way too punishing...

I had 8 afflictions in a row because all of the rooms contain afflictions
I got ONE merchant on three levels/floors which had way too high prices and I did not had enough sacred water to buy something good to compensate for the afflictions...

Just too many afflictions, nerf the number of afflictions per room & level/floor
I lost for the second time my third ascendency...
I'm just tired of wasting time and loosing honor with one room before I reach the final boss of the 3rd floor to get my third ascendency....

Afflictions that are way too repetitive and frequent
Monsters do 15-30% more damage
Debufs against you last longer
Your movement speed is decreased with 15-30%
You have 0% armour
You take 20% more damage
You lose sacred wateron room completion
You cannot see the room in front of you (Smoke and Mirror Afflictions)
You are not always taken to the room you selected (I NEVER GOT TO THE ROOM I SELECTED, like 100% of times when this affliction is in place, I never ever get to the room I select)

What is this BTW ?
This must be a bug...
I lost all of my honour, my character was lying down like being dead, but my HP was full, I did not take any damage, I only had two small white mobs in front, but I "died" instantly without any affect on the groud what so ever.

Both Sekhemas and Ultimatum has terrible modifiers that stack up over time, making pretty much every run a miserable experience.

It's like pick your poison. You either select to lose all your armour (and die) or to move like a sloth (and also die).

POE1 ultimatums have modifiers that are nowhere near as punishing. And the arena is like 10 times smaller too.
It needs a complete overhaul with a 180 on the design philosophy. I genuinely want to study the brain of whoever thinks roguelites are supposed to be 90% downsides.

Poe2 could genuinely be an amazing if there was just one normal dude on the dev team walking around saying, "this doesn't need a Downside", "this isn't how roguelites work", "people don't find that fun", I know fun is sometimes subjective, but like just one guy to point out glaringly obvious problems so you don't have to fight your playerbase for playing the "wrong way" all the time.

I'm no expert on either POE1 or POE2, but I had way more fun in POE1 compared to POE2.

I truly believe POE2 is the best ARPG on the market when it comes to graphics, classes, skills, combos etc

But for me, the trials have finally truined the game after my 6th playthrough, crafting included...crafting could be better, more predictable.

And I 100% agree with you, the way you take your Ascedencies in POE1 is faster and more fun than the Ultimatum or Trial of Sekhemas.

You are right and I agree with everything you said.

There is just too much punishment, there is no way an ARPG (especially POE2) could combine things from roguelike and/or Dark Souls and at the same time make it fun for players.

I don't understand why GGG focuses only on the 2% of players that like these mechanics.
They could make a mode ( Soft Hardcore maybe, or something like that) just for this, just for the 2% of the playerbase that are hard core POE players/veterans.

While the casual players like myself could enjoy the game.
Because of how punishing the game is I don't really have the desire to save money and invest in supporter packs or any additional individual MTX's

The trials are a nice idea, fun, interesting and challenging , but too much is just too much.
I legitimately don't have any desire to continue, I just reached lvl 74 on tier 5 maps and my "enjoyment" was replaced with a lack of desire and I'm sure other's feel the same

Lowering the values of the afflictions would be a nice addition to the game!!
