Replace greater/perfect exalt/chaos orbs with consumable that forces the normal orbs to roll higher

IMO transmutation/augmentation/regal are fine as they are, but with exalts and chaos orbs, the issue is primarily in that they are also used as de facto currencies in trade. But they lose utility over the league as high-end crafters move to greaters or, depending the item, to more deterministic options like perfect essences.

Instead of having greater/perfect exalted orbs and greater/perfect chaos orbs, there could be some crafting consumable similar to omens (or even an omen) that, when active in the inventory, forces the next exalt/chaos roll to be of a given minimum tier.

This way exalts and chaoses would keep their value better, leading to a slower rate of inflation.

So basically just omens, it should be slightly better i think to keep regular exalt not as worthless, but idk if it's good to add more steps to crafting for new players

Well it takes a fair while for new players to really have meaningful g. exalts yet alone g. chaos orbs too.

I'm not sure if it should be the kind of omen we now drop in Ritual or Abyss, as those just don't tend to drop in the quantities that e.g. g. exalts do. But yeah omen-like.

Plus, putting central crafting components behind a single league mechanic is IMO not great design.

so once new players adjust to greater/perfect trans/augs/regals, rugpull into some other mechanic

why? cause of currency devaluation? who cares - use it, convert it, or lose it

[x] hell no from me
no thank you

Early access/beta phase would be the right time for these kind of changes.

Well this "get it fast, use it fast"-idea really only applies at league start.

IMO it's quite unnecessary that many orbs have 3 tiers to them. For transmutation/augmentation I can kinda see how it lets players in end game focus on just picking up the g/p variants, when otherwise they'd get loot filtered out.

A bit different for exalts.
There are omens that I have not obtained since 0.1 in this game. So you mean lets move the greater and perfect into an omen that will cost over 30 divine at league start. Yeah sure what a good idea.

If they remove this perfect and greater system I might just quit the game . The reason they added this was to help players reduce the gamble failure chances created by the crafting system they are doing.

No I didn't.

Where did I say that?

IMO a better way to do that would be to have consumables that are either used on the item, putting the effect "the next modifier addition to this item will be 1/2/3 tiers higher" on it, are an omen-like consumable, that is used in the inventory.

These can of course drop at a rate equivalent to what G/P Exalts drop at.
