A letdown

Hello,
I've been playing this game non stop for a wile now and I really got into it. But yesterday after 120h I learned something new, that kind of "destroyed" my objective and enjoyment. I've been pushing temple of Vaal for loot, I figured that was the best way to get currency as it dropped my first divine very early. So I learned about it and try to do the serpent. The problem is that with the rooms RNG I started to do the chain with commanders, they were very hard and died many times to them with my melee build, but at the end, I push trough it and got the chain going half a square. But spymasters rooms are much batter to the quality of loot and they didn't showed, barely got any locks drops. I didn't think much of it, just bad RNG, "tomorrow I'll get them and continue the chain". Spymasters gave me the only 2 divine orbs I ever found so I was looking forward to it. Well apparently there's a hidden mechanic that if you have commanders rooms, spymasters rooms don't drop. So now, I'll have to destroy all my commanders, garrisons and armories to start again (I have the Atziris key room to the left that dont know how it works so I'm screwed) With a squishy under gear character I can't find good currency income consistently. I feel a let down after the time invested pushing this temple, died so many times for a mechanic that, the game fails to explain by mistake or bug or is intended by design to frustrate the new player.
