Cant proceed to Excavated site Act 4 after killing Herald of Utopia

I killed the Herald of Utopia but died at the same time. Kanu was killed and the door should be open but on respawn the boss comes back and then flies off without restarting the fight and now I cant proceed to the next area

Im really enjoying this character and now im stuck- plz help
