Weapon upgrade went wrong

Hi

Yesterday, I attempted to upgrade my weapon (Onslaught Core engervad Crossbow - Item level:80).

I used the Omen of Dextral Crystallisation + Perfect Essence of Battle to remove a suffix (30% Reduced Attribute Requirements), which at that time was the only suffix I had on the weapon.

Instead of removing the mod, it stayed and added the value of Perfect Essence of Battle on top of it. Now, I cannot add a 6th mod.

Could you please correct this issue?

Just to set expectations: GGG never restore items for any reason.

Also - I have no idea why you think this is a bug of some kind.

Omen of Dextral Crystallisation prevents Essences which remove affixes from removing prefixes, forcing them to only remove suffixes. It doesn't say anything about causing Essences which do not ordinarily remove affixes at all to begin doing so.

I can't tell if I'm missing something, but what they said sounds logical to me, and more potentially either used the wrong omen, it wasn't active, or there were 2+ suffixes already and something else got removed.

"While this item is active in your inventory your next Perfect or Corrupted Essence will remove only Suffix modifiers"

Perfect Essence of Battle
"Removes a random modifier and augments a Rare item with a new guaranteed modifier"

So if they had a 3p1s bow, and used the omen + essence, it should 100% hit the suffix and keep the bow at 3p1s, but with the only suffix being the +5 to attack skills from the essence. Without the omen, it can hit any of the 4 modifiers (if starting with 3p1s), because the essence is adding a suffix.

But I'm not fully awake yet so there's a high chance I'm misunderstanding something.
