Armour applies to Elemental Damage

Whats the actual damage reduction?
Can i say 82% ele damage ruduction from armour is equal to 82% ele resistance of any type? Doesnt look like that (too good) so whats the corresponding value if there is any? Want to know because i'm getting melted by ignite with 250 hp regen/sec + 2% on kill (2.7k hp pool) but i can easily survive the hit that causes ignite, currently on t10 with a titan werewolf. Armour is 76% with 82% applied to ele dmg, ele res at 0% due to helm. Zuletzt bearbeitet von IILU81II#8410 um 25.12.2025, 20:31:19 Zuletzt angestoßen am 25.12.2025, 21:38:21

I think there's alot for u to learn about armour.
#1 Armour and also armour applies to elemental doesn't work against damage over time effects like Ignite. #2 Armour isn't a % damage reduction. It scales with the size of the hit, which means it's more effective against smaller hits and less against big hits. #3 irrelevant in ur case, but Armour applies it's DR before resistances, so the "bigger" hit gets to armour first and after that gets reduced by resistances again. That makes resistances way more impactful than armour against elemental damage. To ur question, no 82% armour applies to ele is not equal to 82% or even 75% elemental resistances, unless the hits are very small. PoE2 0.4 Character:

" Yeah i do have a lot to learn, first time on it after evasion or ev/es, so basically i should change helm and get my res back for better survivability at the cost of hp pool which is irrelevant at this point :D |
