Spirit gem BUG - Item cannot be used with current Weapon Set settings

Ok this has to be the worst bug I have encountered in PoE 2 so far:
After allocating a new unrelated spirit gem, two of my previously active spirit gems simply stopped working for absolutely no reason under the warning message "Item cannot be used: Not usable with current Weapon Set settings"
Just to be clear, let's consider some alternatives:
1) I haven't allocated even a single Weapon Set point in this build (which is not the usual for me, but in this case I'm 100% confident an allocated skill or passive is not the issue)
2) I have a solid margin of attributes requirements for the level of both spirit gems that stopped working
3) They simply stopped working when I added a new spirit gem in an open skill slot (and the new gem has no relation with the other two). To test that further, I kept the new spirit gem in its slot and crafter a brand new spirit gem that is the same to one that shown the warning and, guess what, the freshly crafted spirit gem is working fine.

To be frank I'm quite disappointed as uncut spirit gems have a price attached to them so to solve a pretty bizarre bug I had to spend currency...
