7800x3d crashes resolved

Just my experience. I have a 7800x3d and rtx3080 and my game was constantly locking up with various freezes and would often the computer would just turn off as if someone had pulled the plug out of the wall.

I first tried making various changes to the graphics with no effect. I then tried a larger PSU and the issue persisted. I swapped back to my old 750 PSU and undervolted the CPU to a lower voltage and temp in the bios. That seems to have solved my issues, played a few hours yesterday without a single lockup or power-off. I won't know for certain until I play in a 6 person group which was the worst performance but my initial impression is good.

CPU temps used to peak aroun 89C, I now have it undervolted by 20mV and am limiting the temp to 75C in case anyone wishes to duplicate.

I have the 7800x3d too and 0 crashes, 0 stuttering.

settings:
bios PBO curve optimizer - all cores - negative - 20

The issue is that most games have problem with utilizing all your resources so many games can work just fine, but PoE2 will ramp your utilization to 100% so all those not benchmarked machines struggle.
