[Suggestion] Druid Bear Needs Innate Damage Reduction
|
Druid Bear feels too squishy for a melee tank. As a massive beast, the Bear has a large hitbox and slow attack animations, making it much harder to dodge incoming enemy attacks.
I'm suggesting to GGG to add 10% Innate Damage Reduction via "Thick Hide" mechanic while in Bear Form. Zuletzt bearbeitet von CharlesJT#7681 um 24.12.2025, 23:22:01 Zuletzt angestoßen am 25.12.2025, 00:12:39

The werewolf and wyvern character models are definitely larger just like the bear. All of them need innate damage reduction |

I used to feel like that, but that's because of a misunderstanding on my part regarding how armor works.
I went all in on armor, had over 50k, and was still dying a lot. That was all fixed once I introduced ES + "Mana Shield" to the equation, alongside Armor now lowered to 27k (Tooltip says 89% DR against physical and elemental, but I know thats misleading). Even got 22% evasion while at it, which isn't much, but it's something. I've been Abyss farming without issue now. I couldn't even complete the trials with my previous build (Oracle Bear. Strong, but incredibly squishy and finicky, at least undergeared). Armor only really works for defending against a multitude of small hits, not big, one shot ones. This game requires at least 2 layers of defenses, and I'd say 3 for melee to be really comfortable (this is my first melee, I was fine with just Evasion + ES on my all my ranged characters). I'm not even using Reactive Growth, which is sort of what you want, but just for elemental. Once I get a new Scepter, I will start using it and I'm sure I will feel even stronger. As for dodging, bear has very good dodging potential while using Rampage (just circle the enemy) or Molten Crash (jump in and out, you can reposition without breaking the attack chain to avoid heavy attacks). |

It already does. It has an extra 10 armour per level and 30% of armour applies to elemental.
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.
