Herald of Ice Not Proccing Amour Explosion

I'm using Lunar Assault to freeze enemies, then shattering them to cause the icy explosions. However, herald of ice isn't proccing armour explosions for scavenged plating?

I have uruk's smelting, armour explosion, armour break and heft supporting HOI.

So what am I missing here?

herald of ice explosion hit with %100 cold damage. it doesn't have any physical damage to break armour. if you want break armour with herald of ice, you need to convert all damage to chaos with chaos attunament support gem or have chaos damage from other sources enough to break armour. then put uruk smelting, armour break, armour explosion and uul netols embrace. with this setup chaos damage break armour and cause explosion. i don't know is there any other way to break armour.

In order for Herald of Ice to break armour u need a source of "% of damage as extra physical damage", because Herald of Ice does only cold damage otherwise.
The most common solution for that is to have that mod on ur Talisman. There's some video guides on YT on how to craft such a weapon.
