Obligatory Trial of Sekhemas Post

This is the most obnoxious thing I've ever played in a video game, ever. When EA released I gave up the idea of even attempting a 4th ascendancy because both trials were such a hassle. This league I decided I would give it a shot and see if things are different, they are not. The 4th floor of trial of sekhemas is way too overtuned. Why the hell are there floating machine gun traps? Idk what these are but they were floating above a group of enemies and blasted me with a hail of projectiles, down to nothing from full health + ES with all capped resistances. Obnoxious. The trial takes way too long to have this kind of punishing mechanic blindsiding your players at the very end of the trial.

Ascendancy points are not granted, but achieved through a challenge.

I like it this way.

I like the lore, the sound quality, the narrative.
Of course, I too failed couple of time on 4th floor at boss fight, had to rage-quit and calm down to come back after few hours. Painful experience? Yes.

But overall, I prefer this experience over a bland "run through lab" waste of time feeling, which I don't even remember doing because of how boring a monotonous it is.

Trials actually make me focus on the game for a short while and I tank GGG for it.

Accept the challenge, feel free to choose Sekhemas or Chaos based on your character and playstyle and try to find something good about it, it will help your motivation.

If you like the challenge, great, happy for you. I played trial 11 levels under me (character at 87, trial at 76), with the best gear I can possibly get with my poverty budget, followed a build guide as close as I can, fully capped res across the board, recoup, etc yet I'm getting one shotted by environment traps? This is just unreasonable. They could absolutely turn the difficulty down without entirely removing the challenge. If the difficulty was turned down and you want that harder challenge then just do a trial at or above your level.

You mean challenge of paying 40-60ex you can easily make in campaign with the new async trade? GGG should either make trials more accessible for non-experienced players or disable ability to invite others after trial has begun. As it is now, trials are hypocrisy.
