spearfield attack in place bugged with doge roll

I desperately want the attack without moving option to actually work with spearfield.

Somewhere in the doge roll if you cancel out and attack, the attack without moving function is overwritten and the character will move more than half way across the screen to move to the point that was clicked on before attacking.

It is infuriating.
