Need help: Werewolf Ability shred related to frozen enemies, resistances and ice fragments

Hey Exiles,

I hope someone could help me with a tricky question.

The Notable Heavy Frost does: "Hits ignore non-negative Elemental Resistances of Frozen Enemies". I use Biting Frost on my Cross slash.

So, when i do this. I freeze the enemy, shred him, leave the ice fragments and then cross slash the enemy. Does Heavy Frost still apply for the ice fragments or is it after the cross slash and because i consume the freeze the resistances apply normally?
