Feedback 0.4 // Merry Christmas GGG

Hi,

Here is my feedback on the 0.4 League.

One of my first points is that you really did a good job in increasing the performance in general.

I think this is the most significant update and is heavily underrated by the community, not even mentioned in other feedback threads or videos.

The problem with these changes is that they do not directly jump into the mind of the player, but I can just tell you amazing work has been done here! I had probably just a single crash and just had some tiny graphic bugs in very hectic areas, but in general this is great and was goddamn necessary and the most important thing you could have done.


Therefore, I fully understand that other topics like Endgame Changes and so on became less important for you.

Imagine all your work in performance. I'm still impressed by how much good rebalancing has been done and that you implemented the Druid class.

Please keep on working on performance; this is the foundation of a good game.

For me the Endgame is already in a good spot. Honestly, I just don't understand why people are not using the "Grand Project Tablet". When I watch some streamers, they don't use it!! I'm getting almost angry about this, because the Endgame is only fun and acceptable when utilising this tablet. Therefore, I would recommend implementing the function of this tablet by default into every tower so that everyone can enjoy the endgame like I do. But I'm sure you will come up with even more significant changes next league.

I played as an ED Contagion Lich this league, and it was fun from start till end and scaled perfectly into the far endgame.

It's not like an OP build destroying everything with ease, but it engages in interesting combat situations, and I would say meaningful combat.

ED Contaigon balancing should be like your template for balancing of other classes.


POE2 is only fun when the character is ok; if your character sucks, the game sucks... I think it's the same on POE1...but on POE2 it sucks really hard. You become slow and die a lot; it feels completely demotivating when you have a bad character.

Abyss was implemented very nicely and has an interesting Passive Tree... I can't say this about all the other mechanics; they are boring compared to Abyss, at least for me. Most of them just give you "more splinters"; that's not really interesting. Furthermore, Abyss synergises well with other mechanics, like, e.g., Rogue.

To implement the monster "effectiveness" was a great change and a big step in a good direction to create meaningful combat! Greatly Done!

The Temple League mechanic is completely dogshit (no monsters, complicated as fuck...not rewarding...not fun). I guess this came from a lack of time because of the necessary performance changes.

I would like to see even harder Bossing next Leaguealso here i felt that you did some changes in a good Direction because Bossing (also the Map Bosses) were always intressting Combats for me. As i did use the OVersser Tablet and hunted for Boss Map Nodes on the Atlas... Bosses give too less Rewards i need to say.
