Having no ring increases my DPS

I am a Monk Invoker, lvl 94. I have a ring, Brimstone Grip Sapphire Ring that has 33 cold resist, 110 evasion 104 life, 18 ele resistances, 48 cold, 26 lightning resist. So I go to desecrate it... i get 1 to 30 lightning damage to attacks. I notice when I put it on it makes ALL of my DPS go DOWN. when I take it off it goes up. Storm Wave for instance has 129540 DPS, when I add the ring it does down to 114048. Why would ALL of my dps go down with a 1 to 30 lightning damage to attacks addon? its very weird, when I add a different ring though, the dps goes up.. Thoughts?

ooh found it.. ring has 104 life or whatever it is. i put it on,, goes down in life then I used heal pot and DPS went to 132936. Thanks for the help!

AHH Killer instinct, increase 40% damage while full on life and I had 103hp missing.
