Running whisps on maps in wrong order should not be punished

In the world map one only sees the 'next' whisp encounter on its way to the to the Mansion in the Mists and when one accidentilly walks to it through the later one, even when one clicks on the spawned monoliths after killing the boss, one has to redo them later after completing the 'next' map in the chain. The redo is without tablets, because one has (sucessfully) 'tried' running this map before. It just feels unfun and unfair. The best solution for me would be to 'count' the maps run out of order anyway, but if that is for some reason against spirit or lore of it, please at least let me use the tablets for the secound run again. I can see maps without a tablette as a 'punishment for dying' to get players to build defences, but they feel empty and like a punishment and it feels unfair to get that punishment for choosing a path through whisps I could not see where there.
