Tone down 1 hits from particular enemies
|
This game is absolutely lousy with particular enemies that have attacks that will one hit you out of nowhere and there needs to be a serious pass to fix them. They feel so arbitrary and out of place with everything else. You don't need to design regular enemies like this in regular mapping content if you want people to not just quit the second they get into maps. It's even worse because maps are like the only "endgame" content this game really has right now. It's grinding content, not some uber juiced league content, players shouldn't be expected nor do they want to constantly search the middle of every monster pack for something like a vaal canoneer so they don't get instagibbed from something completely unnoticeable if they aren't looking for it. There's also a lot of attacks that are at least telegraphed in an AoE or something, but they're very transparent effects to begin with, and then they're completely covered up by player spell effects. If it's a high damage burst effect, significantly turn up the brightness and transparency.
Other than the cannoneer's (I don't remember their official name), there's tendril sentinels that appear in groups as regular white enemies doing potentially 5000+ in physical damage from a single hit at ranged where you have to dodge their animation, not the attack because the attack appears almost instantly after the animation finishes. Then there's filthy crones also appearing in groups that cast a timed AoE that's very transparent and hard to notice amongst other effects, until after it activates and kills you, where it gets much brighter. There's a couple more but these stand out from tonight. Zuletzt angestoßen am 22.12.2025, 04:03:54
