GGG you need some inspiration

At most of the posts here we all have i guess listed out our current grievances with both the current state of the game and the current league which are both the worst state Path of Exile 2 has ever been. Personally i think the dev team right now needs inspiration, at least 5 charges of it. A good majority of the problems with POE2 at least with build diversity stem from the fact that the devs try to control what people play by creating all these conditions on skills in order to be able to use them. Aka, you need x weapon with y charges and z combo builder skill to use combo spender 1 and it goes best with this aura. That is a very bad design for an ARPG as it boxes people in certain builds. Especially this league more than any other it almost feels like the devs just push you towards a small bunch of builds they curated for you which you can barely deviate from. It's uninspired.

As for the league itself that also is uninspired as a mechanic but this is an early access, if you actually rework the temple in a meaningful way instead of trying bandaid fixes that people repeatedly tell you they dont enjoy you are actually going to have a second surge of interest in this league. Here are my suggestions, since i want to be able to provide some ideas that maybe you can get inspired from.

First of all, why have the temple interupt your maps, it clearly doesnt fit on a map. I don't want to go in the portal, i don't want to open the console, when i am on a map. Instead what you could do is have it as its own special waystone that you just slot in at the blue portal for realms. As for the temple in campaign since you need to be at maps and through the campaign to perform what i said, you could make that temple an actual location in the game, possibly around act III as a side area near the Apex of Filth or Drowned City and then also in Aggorat when you go back to 400BC which can be a good point to introduce it. Then the temple can be split into 2 versions with different rewards and even a different boss at the end. The temple of Lira Vaal of the past still has Atziri for example as a boss but the temple of Lira Vaal of the future which is connected to the Apex of Filth or Drowned City obviously is going to have a different boss, different types of rooms and different mobs altogether. It could be a future abomination version of Atziri for example and Xipocado. And you can go in either depending on what you want to farm and what type of the special waystone you slot in. In order for this to go smoothly the temple console needs to be a unique one per run ordeal which you can play around with and the configuration isn't saved at all. Then on the tree you can gain extra rooms, extra paths, bigger chance for a past or future waystone, +1 to minimum level of rooms, increased item rarity and item quantity in chests, other stuff that fits it. That way it has more replayability and people can explore room interactions more fluently.

Second of all, size, size matters and the temple in its current iteration is just way too big. At the same time rooms are pretty claustrophobic, i think bigger rooms and bigger corridors with smaller total number of rooms for a quality over quantity is going to smoothen things out. It's really annoying just having to go through so many different fucking rooms, AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE FUCKING DOORS.

Third paths are boring, they don't add something special to the temple. BUT THEY COULD. Could be like a path of gold or path of riches or path of transcendence and many more which could influence connected rooms and be influenced by connected rooms unlocking more interactions.

Also since the temple in my suggestion is a one and done thing and then you gotta build a new one it keeps things fresh, it's less intrusive, it's more customizable, it's less of a slog to run and you can actually explore configurations that way since you can switch it around to see the interactions and the effects and if you don't like what's there you can reset and build from the beginning at your next temple waystone.

Obviously you don't have to follow this 100% but i am typing it out to maybe help the design team get some inspiration, i urge other people to do the same.

To continue on this, you can also list room combos that you already ran at a bestiary-like book after you've ran them. Like for example Corruption Chamber with Path of Transcendence equals Locus of ??? and Path of ??? (which are then revealed after you run them for the first time in that book as you map out interactions there).
