overused generator/spender mechanic

since diablo 3 this trend started and I dont know why is still a thing, it sucked back in d3 (also in d4) and it sucks in every other arpg that has tried to implement it...no one likes to spam a crap/weak skill to generate a resource to soend it and like 10 seconds of dopamine after using the skill you actually want to use...also this mechanic is dumbed down that the only solution is to generate faster or automatically.

poe 2 did it slightly better but it still the same simplified mechanic probably due to this combo based combat now its all over the place:

generate y charges to use x skill or empower it
generate glory to use a big skill once every boss
generate rage to cast an "ultimate" skill
generate "energy" to autocast with meta skills (cast on "x")

hopefully GGG will move away from it because I think its MORE than enough, taking time to build up a bar and spend it and enjoy for 10 seconds is not a good gameplay loop
