Does more Stun on Prime skills let me Prime earlier?

See title. Not sure what Support Gems to put on skills that Prime. Like, if I put more Stun on them, does that lower their threshold to Prime, or does it not matter?

You want to support them with supports that provide more Stun Buildup - IE "Brink" or "Stun".
Brink allows you to prime them while preventing the supported skill from delivering the heavy stun, while Stun just heaps on Stun Buildup and allows the supported skill to heavy stun still. |

" This doesn't answer my question fully. On the skill that Primes, does making it deal more Stun change the threshold to Prime? Like, against a normal enemy, the tooltip says you can Prime them at 50% heavy stun meter. Does doing more Stun with the Prime skill allow me to Prime earlier than 50%? |

No, but it allows you to reach the threshold faster / in fewer hits.
