[Request] Guild stash should have a "lend" feature that returns the item after a given time
|
Right now poe2 is essentially a single player game with a global (online) trade market. However, a better multiplayer experience could be achieved by stronger guild features.
Many guilds already have a "give away" and "put it back before logging out" stash tab, however all these mechanics rely on external sites such as discord and self-policed communities. Similarly to how the trading was improved and it no longer requires external sites and is much safer and easier than ever before, the same could be done for guild stash items that you expect to be returned. People who have irl friends playing the game or are very active on external sites such as discord already item-share. So this would not "break" or "trivialize" the game in any way. It's already happening and was done in earlier leagues as well. Instead it would give casual players the same treatment chronically online people get right now. I know it sounds harsh, but that's how it feels like now. Entire online aspect of the game is tuned for people who spend 4+ hours ingame everyday and then they spend another few hours everyday on discord, streaming websites, path of building and what not. Right now 99% of guilds stash tabs are either empty or filled with trash items. The other 1% is for "elite" communities that require you to be online on other platforms. If you cannot play this game offline, then at least casual players should feel included in the online aspect of the game. The other thing is dark souls like summoning or some kind of a matchmaking system for coop, but that is for another thread. Hot take: Guild stashes should not exist. I thought the reason for guilds was to socialize while you play the game together, not pay the game together.

" The whole guild thing is from a bygone era where mmorpgs were all the rage. If there was a matchmaking system I could use to find coop buddies there would be pretty much no reason for having guilds. Sure, you can spam the global chat, but we used to whisper people for trading too. Organizing your ingame life through chat is such a 2000s mmorpg thing... It's clunky, outdated and no one has time for such nonsense nowadays. Zuletzt bearbeitet von 50ShadesOfAutism#4419 um 20.12.2025, 11:17:07
