Vaal Temple closes after die in BAU room - potential bug

After almost 60h I got to Atziri, at last. I went to a key chamber, had a short cutscene and moved back to temple exploration.
What was my suprise when the temple closed after my death in normal room - a death like any others, which got me respawned next to a checkpoint.
Of course when temple has closed I lost 80% of map blocks.

At one stage you can die as many times as you want, but suddenly - without any notice - next death after visiting a key chamber has new rules.

Congratz GGG, you have me disgused to PoE2, this mechanic is sick and psychotic, and you are not worth not even a minute of my time for playin the league. Person who had this brilliant idea is mentally ill.
