Druid wolf keystone "Lord of the Wilds" and sceptre off hand with "Inspiring Ally"

In short, Lord of the Wilds lets you have a sceptre in your offhand and Inspiring Ally says "increases and reductions to companion damage also apply to you."

So I would get a good increase in shred damage for one passive point if I pick the right sceptre right? For example "allies in your presence deal 60% increased damage.

It worked on the amazon so , I suppose it would work with a druid as well. Just asking to make sure because I don´t want to waste resources to anoint Inspiring Ally to find out that nothing happens.
